Lifestyle Newborn Photography | Argyle Family

This lifestyle newborn photography session was my first shoot of 2023 and it did not disappoint! Kamri and I met several years ago when we were both starting out with our businesses. She reached out to me near the end of her pregnancy and asked if I would come to her home and do an indoor lifestyle newborn shoot. She had to have a C-section and knew that it would be difficult to get photos of her new little one during those first couple weeks. I was so excited to meet her new addition and photograph her cute family!

Kamri’s little family currently lives in a basement apartment. I was nervous about the lighting and brought my flash just in case. However, it was a light basement and even on an overcast day we had the most beautiful natural light coming through the window. I didn’t have to pull out my flash at all and was so happy with the results. I’m so excited for Kamri and Kaden as they start the most exciting adventure yet!

Living in Utah, the weather can be unpredictable. Some years (this one included) it feels that winter lasts half of the year! During the cooler months, lifestyle newborn photography is one of my favorite ways to stay creative and serve my clients. You don’t even have to have a newborn to have lifestyle photos taken in your home. There’s just something about the lighting and coziness of indoor sessions that can’t be replicated outdoors.
