When Rachel reached out to schedule her maternity photos, we discussed a few locations. We ultimately decided to go for a more urban look. I had recently discovered a location in downtown Ogden with a beautiful historic building and rooftop views and I thought it would be perfect. I had a vision in my mind of beautiful weather and a glowy sunset. However, on the day we were initially going to do it there had been rain and snow off. We decided to push her Downtown Ogden family photos out a week. By the time we got to the second date, the weather was not much different. In fact, there was a frigid wind chill on top of the snow and ice. We ultimately decided to brave the weather since her due date was quickly approaching.
Rachel asked if her family could be in some of the photos and I thought that was a great idea! Despite the temperature and wind, I think these Downtown Ogden Family photos turned out beautifully. We started the session with some shots in front of one of the historic buildings before heading to the parking garage. The parking garage opened up on top to a rooftop-like area that had beautiful views.
Although most of my families opt for more nature-filled backdrops, I love every opportunity I get to photograph in the city. If you like the look of these urban Downtown Ogden Family Photos, you can find more information about family sessions here.
