I have loved all of the shoots I’ve been able to have at Antelope Island this fall! I was so excited when Katie reached out to me about taking family photos. She has four boys, and I LOVE photographing families with lots of littles. These Antelope Island family photos turned out so great!
Antelope Island is one of my favorite Northern Utah locations. It is breathtaking every single time. I love the rocks and beachy vibe which is so different than what most people are used to in Utah. It is also very neutral toned which makes editing a dream. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get some bison in the background!
A large part of my job includes location scouting. Most locations look different during each season which is good and bad. It means more versatility, but also more unknowns when I’m trying to determine a location. However, Antelope Island looks the same all year (except if it’s covered in snow). That’s one of the things I love the most about it.
Since the beginning, it has been very important to me to capture images that feel organic and candid. Ironically enough, that doesn’t usually happen on its own. It takes specific prompts and directing to get flattering, natural shots. Trying to accomplish this with small children is no small feat, but a challenge that I greatly enjoy. If you have a large family with little kids and LOVE candid images, I’m the girl for you! To book your Antelope Island Family Photos (or photos somewhere else) you can reach out to me here.
